Teefi Butt vehemently refutes any connection to the murder of Amir Balaj and expresses his intention to return to Pakistan promptly to offer his statement to the authorities.
The release of Butt’s video statement has garnered significant attention in Lahore, signifying a pivotal development in the ongoing investigation.
In the video, he expresses remorse over the tragic murder of Amir Balaj and underscores his innocence in the matter.
“In the video,” Teefi Butt declares, “I have nothing to do with Amir Balaj’s murder,” firmly denying any involvement. He further assures that he will cooperate with the police and willingly provide his statement upon his return to Pakistan.
On February 19, Ameer Balaj Tipu, the son of Arif Ameer, also known as Tipu Truckanwala, was fatally shot in what is believed to be a targeted killing in the Chuhng area of Lahore on Sunday night.
The police stated that Balaj, in his early 30s, was attending the wedding ceremony of a former DPS’s son in a residential society in Chuhng when an armed assailant opened fire on him, critically injuring him. According to the police, three other men accompanying Balaj were also injured. However, due to retaliatory fire by Balaj’s gunmen, the assailant was also killed.
